My Preliminary Task

For my preliminary task I had to make a magazine for my school. I decided to make a magazine exclusive to the 6th Form at my school. For this task I had to use original photography and I used publisher to create it. I purposely made my preliminary task a poor magazine as I think that it will help me to explain the differences and improvements made to my magazine production skills when making my evaluation. In light of this decision I decided not to use any photography editing programs like Photoshop and I didnt plan out my photography much before taking the photos. Here is the finished product:

 

There are many improvements that can be made to this. For example, I should plan my photography a lot more and also plan the spacing of all the features on the magazine so it is precise, neat and professional. Also I may need to plan fonts and colour schemes so that it matches my chosen genre of music and it is clear what that genre of music is.
