Photoshop 2

I used Photoshop to edit my first image for my double page spread. This was the image I chose:

The first thing I had to do, after cropping the image, was get rid of the background on the photo. At first I tried to use the magic wand tool. However this caused problems as it was hard for Photoshop to separate the colours as most were similar to the background. I was only able to edit out the top white bit. This is how it looked:

I decided it would be too hard to do this so I undid the magic wand tool and decided to use a different approach to editing out the background. I decided to use the pen tool. this allowed me to draw round the image of my model and then delete the background. Here is a screenshot of me draw round the image:

After deleting the background from the picture I got this:

I then cropped the image again and used the same process I used it my fist Photoshop session to make the lips pinker. This is my end result:
